Vancouver Projector Rentals was recently hired by a local business in Pitt Meadows / Maple Ridge to do a comprehensive AV setup, including a projector, 144” screen, and sound system to broadcast a live FIFA World Cup game to an audience of 100 employees gathered right inside their main head office shop area.
Overcoming Large Spaces and Ambient Light
The primary challenge of a warehouse or commercial shop setup is managing the high ceilings and open spaces, which can easily swallow up sound and wash out standard displays. Because the event took place in the afternoon, the projection system needed enough brightness to counteract the ambient indoor lighting, while the audio components required precise routing to ensure clear commentary throughout the entire floor.
The Technical Audio Visual Configuration
To build out a reliable, standalone media hub for the match, the following commercial-grade package was deployed:
- 144″ x 81″ FastFold Screen & Dress Kit: A massive, stable folding frame fitted with a premium velour skirt to conceal the underlying structures and provide a clean corporate look for the projection screen.
- 5000-Lumen 1080p Projector: A high-output projection system mounted on a dedicated stand to deliver crisp, high-definition images across the large screen surface.
- Dual JBL EON 715 Speakers: Heavy-duty 15-inch powered speakers placed on tripods to cut through the open acoustics of the workshop.
- Signal Routing: An analog mixer combined with a DI box to seamlessly manage audio feeds from the source laptop without hum or latency.

Live Event Management: Our technician managed the transport, physical assembly, and calibration of the projection on-site.
