Recently, a client reached out to Vancouver Projector Rentals for AV support for a celebration of life held in the Conservatory at Newlands Golf & Country Club in Langley. The room’s bright environment presented a challenge for traditional projection, as ambient daylight can significantly reduce the visibility of a projected image.
The client initially inquired about a projection screen, but after assessing the venue and lighting conditions, the Vancouver Projector Rentals team recommended a dual 75″ TV package instead. This provided a brighter and more visible display solution while allowing guests throughout the room to clearly see the photos and videos.

The equipment package included:
- Visual Displays: Two 75″ 4K displays mounted on floor stands and connected through an HDMI splitter for synchronized video playback across the room.
- Laptop Interfacing: USB-C adapters and long-run cabling to connect the host laptop cleanly from the technical table.
- Sound System: Two JBL EON 715 powered speakers on tripod stands, providing balanced audio coverage throughout the venue.
- Audio Control & Microphones: A compact analog audio mixer, a DI box for clean, hum-free laptop audio, and a dual-channel wireless handheld microphone system.
During the quoting process, the client mentioned that they were not entirely comfortable operating the equipment themselves. To provide a more convenient and stress-free experience, they added on-site technician support. After delivering and setting up the equipment at the client’s requested time, a VPR technician remained on-site throughout the event to manage the AV system and assist with anything that came up.
Professional Setup and On-Site Support
On the day of the event, our technicians arrived at the beginning of the venue’s access window and began setting up the equipment. The team assembled the stand-mounted displays, ran clean and organized cable paths, connected the audio system, and calibrated the audio levels for the room.
Once the setup was complete, our technicians walked the client through the system and confirmed that everything was working as expected before the event began.
Throughout the event, our technician managed the visual presentations, background music, and microphone levels, allowing the client and their guests to focus on the celebration rather than the technology.
Once the reception concluded, our team completed a prompt teardown and cleared the room within the venue’s required timeline.
