When it comes to fashion shows, the atmosphere is everything. It is not just about the clothes; it is about the mood, the lighting, and the energy in the room. Recently, we had the absolute pleasure of partnering with Carolina Botelho and the Dress Cozy brand to bring their vision to life for a high-profile runway show attended by approximately 250 guests, including photographers and media influencers.

The Vision: Modern, Fancy, and Innovative: Everything started with a basic projector rental for a fashion show; the client wanted to display their logo at the beginning of the catwalk. This event is much bigger than that, so the goal was clear: create a high-end, modern aesthetic that would wow the audience. The client needed a central visual display to showcase their logo and video content, but standard placement wouldn’t work for a runway. Additionally, with so many cameras in the room, the lighting had to be flawless, illuminating the models and the clothing perfectly while maintaining a “fancy” ambiance.

The Challenge: Precision Placement One of the unique challenges of a fashion show is shadow management. If a projector is placed too low, models walking the runway can cast shadows on the screen, ruining the visual effect. We also needed to ensure the lighting provided coverage for the photographers without washing out the video display.

Our Solution: A Custom AV Experience 

To achieve that requested “innovative” look, we designed a setup that blended functionality with style.

• Visuals: We utilized a high-brightness 5000 Lumen Projector paired with a 120″ Fast Fold Screen. To solve the shadow issue and ensure a clean look, the projector was mounted on a truss structure, positioned high enough to clear the models on the catwalk.
• Stage Lighting: This was the star of the show. We built six truss towers around the room’s pillars to create an industrial-chic structure. On these, we mounted a mix of 12x battery-powered parcan lights and 16x regular stage parcan lights. This allowed us to wash the room in color and spotlight the runway effectively.
• Professional Audio: No fashion show is complete without a soundtrack. We installed a powerful system featuring four 15″ JBL Professional Speakers, a mixer, and wireless microphones, ensuring the DJ’s mix filled the room and announcements were crisp and clear.
• Technician Services: This was a full-service project including delivery, setup, and a dedicated on-site technician to manage AV transitions and monitor audio levels throughout the show.

The Result The evening was a massive success. The combination of dynamic lighting and crisp visuals transformed the venue into a professional fashion house. We were thrilled when the client mentioned that our team’s contribution “made the beautiful evening even more special.”
