For example, if you have a basic presentation that does not require a high resolution you could surely choose the Basic projection package for $69, which includes our General Use Projector and a Free Small Tripod Screen. However, if you rather have a larger audience you will need a larger screen, which by increasing the image on a General use projector, will distort the image as the resolution will not be enough. Question 1 :

What is the purpose of your projector rental?

This question allows us to start understanding the characteristics and needs of your event and it brings some guidance in what should be considered prior renting. An example is during summertime, which is very common to rent a projector for movie nights and sometimes the customer tends to forget to check the speaker. Usually, when we are aware that the rental is for a movie night we two not let the client forget about the speaker. Another example is with weddings. The most common rental for weddings is a projector for presenting a slide show and videos, which for this type of event requires a projector with higher resolution. In addition, if it is an outdoor wedding it requires a brighter projector too.

Question 2 :

How bright is the venue?

A big enemy of projectors is bright places reason why projectors have a wide range of brightness levels which are measured in lumens.

A normal projector for home usage or basic presentation would have around 2000-2500 lumens, especially because we can turn the light off in our house, making the light environment controllable. A projector that will be used for business purposes and will be placed in boardrooms, offices, medium-size business rooms, normally has around 3000-3500 lumens. However, if your projection screen is large from 80″x80″ and/ or there a little natural light, a projector with more lumen will be a better choice, which in this case ranges around 5000 lumens.

Question 3 :

How much space do you have to place the projector and screen?

The size of the image being projected is determined by the distance of the projector and the screen. The furthest you place the projector from the screen the bigger the image will get. Said that if you have not much space, the image will not fit the screen properly. Furthermore, considering the amount of space the projector will occupy let’s plan on how much space you must consider fitting your audience and further pieces of equipment you may need.

Question 4:

What content are you going to project?

Depending on what your goal is, you might consider in which resolution and brightness you want your content to be projected. If you are planning to present using PowerPoint or mostly text content, you may choose some projector with a more standard resolution. However, if you are planning to present HD at a conference, having a business presentation, or even projecting a 4K movie, you might consider renting a higher resolution projector or brighter projection giving you the best quality possible.

Question 5:

How big is your audience?

The size of your audience is key when renting audio-visual equipment. Depending on the size of your venue and how many people will attend, you will need to consider how many projectors, screens and speakers you will need so that everyone receives the same quality of information being presented. For example, if your audience is composed of 100 people, which one screen will not be enough to reach everyone, you may consider renting 2 screens and 2 projectors to be placed on different sides of the venue.
