Description
What Does an LED Processor Do?
An LED wall is made of many panels, and something has to tell each one exactly what to show. That’s the processor. The NovaStar VX400 Pro receives your video from a laptop, camera or USB drive, resizes it to fit your wall perfectly, and sends it to every panel in sync. The result is one seamless, correctly shaped picture, with no stretching, black bars or guesswork.
Why We Chose the VX400 Pro
- Plenty of power: One VX400 Pro handles up to 2.6 million pixels, more than double what our full 32-panel P2.6 wall needs.
- 4K-ready input: An HDMI 2.0 input accepts up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz, plus two HDMI 1.3 inputs and a 3G-SDI input for professional cameras.
- Picture-in-picture: Up to six layers let you show a speaker’s camera next to their slides, or a sponsor logo over a game.
- Plays straight from USB: Run images and videos from a USB stick, no laptop needed.
- Zero lag for live cameras: Low-latency mode means lips and sound stay in sync on big-screen live feeds.
- One-button scene changes: Up to 256 saved presets switch between walk-in slides, keynote and video instantly.
- Built-in backup: Backup options for inputs and outputs help keep the show running if a cable or source fails.

LED Processor FAQ
Do I need a processor to run an LED wall? Yes. Every LED wall needs a processor to turn your video into a signal the panels understand. The VX400 Pro handles scaling, layering and sending, all in one box.
Can I play content without a laptop? Yes. The VX400 Pro plays images and videos directly from a USB drive.
Can it show a live camera and slides at the same time? Yes. It supports up to six layers, so a camera feed can sit beside or over your presentation.
Does it add delay to live camera feeds? In low-latency mode, the processor adds no frame delay, which is ideal for live speakers and performers.
Can the processor be used outdoors? The VX400 Pro is indoor equipment. At outdoor events, our technicians keep it under cover while the IP65 panels face the weather.
